SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Liaison and Outreach Librarian is obliged for a coordination of library services and collections for a Faculty of Management on a Okanagan Campus. The Librarian coordinates and participates in a sustenance of in-depth anxiety and information services for a Faculty; coordinates ongoing growth of government collections to support students, expertise and staff; provides web-based and classroom instruction and assistance in use of information resources; and participates in a growth and smoothness of other Faculty initiatives. The Liaison and Outreach Librarian is a valued member of a Okanagan Library and participates in a growth of Library policy, procedures and services. Assumes shortcoming for coordination and government of staff, services and projects, as required. Evening and weekend work might be required. QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate grade in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or homogeneous is compulsory from an ALA accredited institution. RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports jointly to a Associate Chief Librarian during UBC’s Okanagan campus Library and a Dean, Faculty of Management, UBC’s Okanagan campus. Coordinates activities with other Librarians during UBC’s Okanagan campus and collaborates with Librarians via a UBC Library system. Works closely with colleagues in other units within UBC. Works with faculty, students, staff and a public.
DUTIES:
Reference and Research Services:
- Provides in-depth anxiety and investigate services for Management disciplines and participates in a ubiquitous on-call rota to yield anxiety and investigate services to UBC Okanagan Campus students, staff and expertise members. Collaborates with UBC Vancouver Campus librarians to yield services to UBC faculty, staff and students and members of a public, as required. Provision of these services might take place on campus or remotely.
- Liaises with Faculty of Management researchers and students conducting research.
- Provides training and behind adult for Library Services Assistants
- Participates in a monitoring and upkeep of UBC Okanagan Campus Library imitation and electronic anxiety collection.

Teaching and Orientation:

- Undertakes specialized enlightening programs and workshops including planning, conceptualizing and organizing; regulating several formats for presentation; and assessing outcomes.

- Provides instruction/presentations to expertise and students (in a Library, online and within a Faculty).

Faculty Liaison:
- Initiates and maintains hit with expertise members.
- Liaises with expertise on issues of copyright, collection growth and management, and on issues associated to scrupulously archiving investigate outputs.

- Liaises with, and provides information and investigate support for researchers in a Regional Socio-Economic Development Institute of Canada, and in associated UBC investigate institutes.
Collection Development and Management:
- Responsible for a preference of new resources in conference with other UBC Librarians and Faculty representatives.

Diversity and Outreach:
- Assist with a continued growth of a Faculty and Library meridian and enlightenment that supports and celebrates diversity.
- Collaborate with a UBC Okanagan Equity and Inclusion Office, Vantage College, International Programs and Services, and other campus groups to build and minister to applicable networks and cross-campus initiatives.
- Assess need for, develop, and broach applicable programming in partnership with campus stakeholders.
- Serve in an advisory ability to a Faculty of Management and a UBC Okanagan Library to accommodate farrago goals summarized in their particular vital plans.
- Coordinate and/or yield training for employees in both a Library and a Faculty of Management to assist them in work with different populations
Supervision and Administration:
